Sherman
Oaks, CA – October 20, 2000 - InSure Vision Technologies,
developers of SurePath (a web-based bond processing service for agencies, their clients, underwriters and
obligees), and Applied Systems, a leader in insurance distribution systems, unveiled a new level of
interoperability for surety transaction processing at the Applied Systems Users Conference.
Users of Applied System’s WinTam 6.3 and IVT’s SurePath Network can now easily exchange information
to generate invoices for bonds processed through SurePath. The
integration, which was presented in demonstrations throughout the conference, received an overwhelming
response.
An
easy-to-use extension to WinTam allows users to pull SurePath transactions into WinTam for billing and tracking
purposes. After processing bonds in SurePath, WinTam users can
simply select a menu item to import all new transactions for their agency into WinTam.
The
two companies worked in collaboration to develop an integration solution between their products.
The integration is based on XML, an open industry standard for exchanging data between companies.
IVT provided Applied with details of its XML feed, which allowed Applied to construct an extension to
WinTam that would accept that feed.
“This
represents a real milestone in integration between surety and agency processing systems,” says Pam Stocks,
President of IVT. “We’re very pleased with the results,
which we believe greatly enhance both systems.”
