Can my custom billing system or bond system integrate with SurePath?
Yes! InSure Vision Technologies provides a Software
Development Kit (SDK) for FREE to any user of SurePath. Agencies,
carriers and vendors are using the SDK to integrate with their accounting, bond, and agency management applications.
The SDK shows you how to request, transmit and analyze your data from SurePath.
All you need is someone who understands your applications well enough to map the data from SurePath to your
systems.
How does the technology work?
The SDK is based on XML (extensible markup language), an open, globally recognized format for exchanging data.
You use XML to send a request for your data over the Internet to InSure Vision Technologies’ computer.
Our computer verifies your user name and password and sends back an XML file with your SurePath transactions.
What SurePath transactions are available in a SurePath XML message?
Execution
Rider
Cancellation
Renewal
Reinstatement
Verification certificate
Consent of Surety
Acknowledgement by Obligee of a decrease rider
Percentage of work complete changed
Revocation
And more…
Is my data secured?
We strongly encourage all users of SurePath to use a browser that supports a 128-bit encryption.
When you use the SDK your data is encrypted and secured using the level of encryption supported by your
browser. 128-bit encryption is the maximum allowed by U.S. law and the
same level of encryption used by financial institutions.
How long does it take to receive data?
It depends on how much data you are requesting, traffic on the Internet, and the speed of your Internet
connection. However, most responses are received in less than 5 seconds.
What is provided in the SurePath SDK?
The SDK includes:
Documentation for constructing and parsing SurePath XML messages
| Supporting definition files for constructing and parsing SurePath XML messages:
.DTD (document type definition)
.XDR (XML data reduced)
.BIZ (BizTalk compatible format)
|
| A .dll file that provides a COM-based wrapper around SurePath XML messages and dramatically decreases the
programming needed to generate and parse SurePath XML files. |
Functional sample Visual Basic code for generating, transmitting, and parsing SurePath XML messages.
Sample Java code for parsing SurePath XML messages.
Support and upgrades for the SDK.
How much does the SurePath SDK cost?
Nothing. The SDK is provided to SurePath users for free.
What will I have to provide for integration?
You will need a programmer who understands your applications and can map data from SurePath to your systems. You will also need an Internet connection of at least 128 kb.
What programming languages does the SDK support?
Any programming language can be used. The SDK includes samples in
Visual Basic and Java.
Can I send data to SurePath from my other systems?
Not yet. In the SDK version 1.4 you can only receive data.
We are considering including the ability to upload data to SurePath from other systems, particularly carrier
systems, in future versions of the SDK.
How do I get the SDK?
