Processing Bid Bonds With The Bid Express® Service and SurePath
In an effort to reduce costs and increase the
overall efficiency of the bid submission process, state DOTs are
increasingly requiring contractors to submit bids electronically over
the Internet. Info Tech, makers of the Bid Express® service and Insure Vision
Technologies (IVT), developers of SurePath are working together to automate the processing of
bid bonds electronically.
What Is The Bid Express® Service?
The Bid Express® service is an online information service for
bidding on transportation construction projects. The Bid
Express® service integrates with Expedite™, an application for bid
preparation from the American Association of State Highway and
Transportation Officials (AASHTO). The Bid Express® service is an
Internet-based online service that allows a State Transportation Agency
and its contracting community to communicate with each other in a highly
secure environment.
How Does SurePath and The Bid Express® Service Work Together?
SurePath and the Bid Express® service work behind the scenes to
